Holy pug, it's about to get cold. Not as cold as Minnesota or Iowa, but really cold for us.
Many houses around here have heat pumps instead of furnaces. Unfortunately, when the temperature goes below 25, heat pumps just don't work. That means lots of folks are going to be cold in their own houses. Many local stores have already sold out of space heaters.
We have a heat pump upstairs and a gas furnace downstairs. We managed one night last week when it was in the 20s by keeping the heat on downstairs. But three nights in a row just isn't going to work. So we've moved downstairs for the week.
It's like camping! Keep telling yourself that, mom.
We are bundled up in layers, t shirt then fleece. Needless to say, we probably aren't going to go outside tomorrow. Thank pug for potty pads!
And thank pug we don't have the snow that some of you have!
Stay warm and cozy, friends.
You better stay inside and keep that pug hiney warm

Camping indoors sounds like fun - especially when it's so awful outside. By us it looks really sunny, but DON'T BE FOOLED. My little toes were frozen in like 20 seconds. Must be nice to be able to form a pug pile to stay warm - my human doesn't generate ANY heat - it's all up to me! :)

We put in a heat pump two years ago, but it auto switches to the furnace when it gets 25 degrees.

We camped out in the living room on Sunday night because it was soooo cold and that is the warmest room in the house. We were confused and kept trying to let mom and dad know that we'd rather sleep in the big bed. The best part ... dad got an extra day off to spend with us BUT mama got two extra days off!

The camping indoors part is kinda fun, but certainly not the reason for it. BRR! We are finally warming up into the twenties but the white stuff is still here.
