Fourteen and counting!

We don't really know when Isabelle's birthday is, but this is the day we celebrate it. Five years ago, on March 20, Isabelle and Quincy were taken into rescue by Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue. She came into our home that day and has never left. 

Her tummy issues haven't resolved (which means a trip to the vet tomorrow) so no birthday burger today. That will come when she feels better. 

For her birthday, Isabelle got a swanky red sweatshirt with a flying heart from PugPossessed's Etsy shop! 

It's super cosy and warm, which is good since the temps have dropped. Again. 

But her favorite gift was the Pup Warmer by Body Glove.

This thing is pretty cool. It only heats up to 102 degrees so no chance of getting burned. Older dogs can lose sensation in body parts and not realize they are getting too hot. It's electric, but it is weight activated. So it only turns on when Isabelle is lying on it. That saves energy.

Best of all? Isabelle actually uses it. 

She loves it. 

Mom has bought several warming things for Miss Isabelle. Heated beds, Snuggle Safes, you name it. Isabelle didn't like any of them. 

The black thing is a neoprene cover which is water resistant. It's okay, but a nice fleece cover is better.

It fits perfectly inside this bed from our Aunt Mandy, covered by a little blanket. 

As you can see, she really likes it. 

Her tummy has been unhappy for a week tomorrow, and Pepto just isn't working. It's more than just cleaning up a mess. She just doesn't feel well. Paws crossed whatever the vet gives us tomorrow will make her feel better.
