We had a great post planned for this weekend. There was steak and a pug meet up and swimming and steak.
Everything was going great. We had a fabulous meet up on Saturday (no pictures). Then we went swimming because it was soooo hot (also no pictures). Today, mom grilled so much steak. It smelled so good. No pictures there either.
But before we got to eat our steak, Petunia started squinting. Then she clenched her eye shut. Two eye washes and an hour later, no change. So off to the emergency vet!
See her left eye? Squinty |
Miraculously, as soon as we got into the lobby, Petunia's eye opened wide up.
What fun! V*E*T spells steak, right? |
No immediate worries. No ulcer or scratch. No meds or anything!
Waiting on the bill |
The vet did notice that Petunia has an apparent wrinkle in her cornea, so we will be seeing an opthamologist to make sure that it isn't serious.
The vet and the tech just LOVED Petunia. Her exam notes prove it! The vet said that Petunia was the healthiest pug she has ever seen, minus the eye issue, of course. And since she wasn't with her partner in crime, Tallulah, she was a sweetheart instead of a punk.
See where it says very sweet and fit! |
It's not a holiday weekend without a trip to the vet. Thankfully, it all worked out!
Happy holiday everybody!
Those chairs and lobby look familiar! Glad to hear your eye ball is doing ok...wrinkle just mean your getting old...that's what g-ma says anyways. Hope all goes ok with the doggy eye dr...you going to the one in Chesapeake...we loved them there.

isn't in funny how the problem seems to go away as soon as you get to the vet? haha.
ReplyDeleteI got nervous when I saw this post but I'm glad everything is ok, well except for the wrinkle. ;-)
ReplyDeletePayton's eyes would always miraculously open at the vet too. Silly pug girls!
Love,
Christy

Very sweet and fit... that's all pug girls dream~ You go girl !!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear your eye is ok, Petunia. I hope you got lots of extra steak for having to go to the vet on your day off. My 'rents say I also love to get into trouble on the holidays as well. Well, how can you resist going to the vet where the vet techs fawn over you?!
ReplyDelete-Love,
Sid.
You got that right - never a holiday without an emergency Vet run. NEVER. Hope the wrinkle is OK... and the exam notes are adorable... as is Petunia.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your eye is okay sweetie! Libra has chronic dry eye so it's never fun when your eyes bother you.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had so much fun other than a quick vet visit.
We didn't do much this weekend, just laid around and played a lot.
I'm not sure I would like steak much but I do love chicken!!

Glad you are okay, Petunia! Sometimes the things we have to do to get some one-on-one time with the pawrents ... even if it means a trip to the vet! Sounds like it worked out pretty good ...

Glad it was nothing serious! We are all too familiar with eye issues. Very sweet indeed!

Holy pug canoli, not only were you good on the eye problem but you are "fit" as well. You don't hear that about a pug very often!!! SOME pug is in full on bikini mode this year :)
