Meet Oliver!

We have a new foster pug brother, Oliver. We foster for Pugs U Gotta Save
Look at those big brown eyes!

He was found running with a girl pug in a busy intersection. The lady who found them saw him rolling around on his back and thought he'd been hit by a car. Thankfully, he hadn't! But his entire back end is covered in scabs and nasties from flea allergy dermatitis, says the vet.
He's super itchy, which we can relate to.
All those dark spots are scabs. :(
But he's living the good life now! He's had his shots, will be neutered soon and other than the skin problems, is in good health. For a dog who had been living on the streets, he's remarkably well behaved. Hasn't even barked once yet. (Don't worry, we will teach him!) The only noises he's made are whimpers and whines from the itchies.

The vet estimates that he's about 2. He does look young, but he is so calm and mellow that we aren't sure. We were still nutjobs at 2! Maybe he will perk up once he realizes that he's safe and sound, with a steady supply of good food and soothing treatments for his itchies.

In the meantime, he's fitting right in at the Southern Fried Pug house.
He's learned the awesomeness of bully sticks.

And he squished himself in with Tallulah. She didn't even mind which is not her usual response.

We don't think he'll be with us long though! A pug as cute as he is will be snapped up lickety-split!

  1. What a cutie! So sad that he was abandoned and those awful itchies. Sheesh. As he is a pug he will learn to fit into the lap of luxury in no time at all though.
