Southern Fried Pugs Take Manhattan!: Road trip!

We made it home safe and sound, although a bit soggy. So without further ado, here's part 1 of our story!

Day 1 of our Southern Fried Pugs Take Manhattan tour!

Friday, we drove from the very bottom of Virginia to New Jersey. The day was warm for October, in the 80's.
We had a potty break in Maryland. Neither the human or the dog facilities were all that great.

Then we made it into Delaware. All was peaceful. See us sleeping in the back?

Then something went horribly wrong. Not sure what, but we got into a serious brawl in the back seat. Petunia was the winner this time, and Tallulah was a big loser. It was so bad that we had to make a side trip to the vet because Tallulah's eye was swollen and cloudy. You know that pug eyes are nothing to mess around with.

Yep, just in time for the photo shoot that we had been waiting four months for. This picture doesn't do the swelling justice. Her bottom eyelid was so swollen that it stuck out half an inch from her eye ball.
Thank pug for Siri who found the nearest vet who were able to see us right away. He said it was a small abrasion and gave her eye goop to take twice a day.
Mom said that the money for this little vet trip was coming out of our allowance!

After that expensive adventure, we settled back down and were back on the road to New Jersey.

We did manage to make it to the hotel before sun down. Our hotel was decent. It did have a nice green space so we didn't have to try to potty in the parking lot. There were even deer grazing in the field! And you know what that means. Deer poop. Mom wouldn't let us eat any of it though.

After our big day of traveling and fighting, we were tired and needed to get some beauty sleep.

Next up, our photo shoot!
